  1. offer discounted pricing for access to Jade Professional for verified Law Students.

I'm a Law Student and having access to Jade Professional would be great for my studies. The pricing is prohibitive for a full time student but offering a discount to verified students (student ID card or email perhaps) would really help. Many Thanks for listening.

  2. Stop character entry 'cursor' moving in search bar

After loading up jade.io and beginning searching, part way through entering a string, characters are entered at the beginning of the search bar, before reverting to the end of the search bar.
For example, typing 'the quick brown fox jumps', comes out in the search bar as 'rowthe quick bn fox jumps'

  3. Correct erroneous case title and link

The judgment in Olefines Pty Ltd v Valuer General of New South Wales, a judgment of Molesworth AJ in the Land and Environment Court of NSW, being [2018] NSWLEC 18, is erroneously cited on Jade as Initial Action Pty Ltd v Woollahra Municipal Council. There is no connection between these cases. This needs correction. Thank you.

  5. Get older state court decisions on Jade.

I am working with Permanent Building Society v Wheeler (1994) 11 WAR 187. It doesn't appear to be on Jade since too old. Would be great to get all decisions of state courts onto Jade. Thank you!

  6. Index SAET decisions

It would be very helpful to integrate decisions of the South Australian Employment Tribunal, particularly given the per-section citation functions of Jade. They are currently published here: http://www.austlii.edu.au/cgi-bin/viewdb/au/cases/sa/SAET/

  7. Tool so that users can see if they have viewed Jade content

My suggestion is that you establish a way in which users can tell whether they have read a case (for instance, by changing the colour of the heading). This tool is currently operative on Caselaw.

  10. Ensure that footnote hyperlinks work properly

The problem appears to be widespread, at least on Chrome browser.

    One example: https://jade.io/article/299492 footnote 2

  12. Website does not always load correctly

Occasionally when accessing jade via Chrome, only the search bar will load and not the rest of the page. You are also not able to search and need to reload page (sometimes a number of times) for it to load the web page correctly. Have been able to replicate this on several PCs. Is this something that has been reported or can be looked into?

  13. Have a simple process for cancelling subscriptions. I've tried looking on the website, asking live chat, emailing and phoning.

It would be great if accounts could be managed online - maybe I've missed the relevant part of the website, but live chat didn't know either and told me to email. My email was acknowledged by someone who was sad that I'd asked to cancel and offered training so I could get more out of my subscription, and neither of my calls to support have been returned

  15. H-Index for Barristers based on citations

Right now it can be difficult for solicitors to know who are more experienced or competent counsel when they are looking for someone to brief. It would be amazing to have an equivalent to an academic H-Index, and would be quite easily implemented (eg in each decision, the counsel's name is crawled and aggregated to a particular counsel's 'profile'. Counsel could register on jade and claim their profile and fill in details like a link to their bio etc. and can 'claim' decisions which are missed by the automatic function. Similar to eg google scholar or academia.edu.

    The system could…

  16. Expensive points

This is a comment pertaining to financial trustworthiness. I just had white gold and perfect 3 sapphire ring stolen when it was on my neck as I slept by someone who wants to prove I am indeed inept and need financial management.
I am afraid to go to Berry St as thr system has been a giant test and the diamond necklace from zgrandpa was 6qnkednoff my neck but I fought for it.
How is this fair when people get paid to make me look even worse?

  17. Nevill v Fine Art and General Insurance Co Ltd comes up as the wrong case

I was looking for NORTH EASTERN DAIRY CO. LTD. v. DAIRY INDUSTRY AUTHORITY OF N.S.W. ; CARROLL'S FOOD MART PTY. LTD. v. DAIRY INDUSTRY AUTHORITY OF N.S.W.

    (1975) 134 CLR 559

17 October 1975 and found the search result was Nevill v Fine Art and General Insurance Co Ltd.

  18. make it easier to copy and paste sections from legislation

This may be difficult given legislation is imported - but it would be great if it was easier to copy and paste sections of legislation with proper formatting into word or oneNote or into outlook. At the moment, regardless of using the jade copy function, or the browser copy button, sections are always incorrectly and inconsistently formatted and usually have the function put in erroneous numbered lists.

I hate to suggest it, but is this something an AI tool could be used for? Assuming it wouldn't hallucinate and create its own sections and subsections...
