offer an obiter dictum identifier similar to that of your Citator tool.
Similar to that of the Citator tool, it would prove beneficial having a tool that could identifier obiter statements within a case.
30 votesWe are working on precisely this kind of identification. It’s a little harder than CaseTrace (our citator tool), but stay tuned. The first stage is ready and will be deployed in the week of 16 June 2015.

Put the name of the case/item in the tab name for easy tab switching
Keep the Jade logo in the Tab but have the case name as the text so it's easier to switch between tabs/windows and keep a bunch of cases up at once

Search terms not working.
Hello, I have had difficulty getting the w/n, w/p and w/s searches to work in both the search bar and in Advanced Search. Jade appears to be treating them like words rather than search terms (""~n is working however)

AICmr Decisions
it would be great if you could include decisions of the Australian Information Commissioner within the FOI and Privacy topic in the Cth Tribunals collection. The decisions are published to Austlii at http://www8.austlii.edu.au/cgi-bin/viewdb/au/cases/cth/AICmr/

It would be wonderful if you could please create a proper hyper-linked index for the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of C&C Act)
It's quite difficult to navigate the Australian Consumer Law on Jade at the moment (unless I'm missing something obvious) and also, it is not possible to use the citator to refer to specific sections within that Schedule 2 section (all of the references just plug to the header on page one of the Australian Consumer Law). Thanks!

Consider better integration of user-generated content.
I assume that the team at Jade is familiar with CaseText (https://casetext.com/), a free US legal research site. CaseText's integration of user-generated content is quite seamless and user-friendly--perhaps in ways that Jade is not. Might be worth considering.
7 votesHi Alexander, we do integrate user-generated content. We are working to improve the integration in our next UI improvement round happening early in Q3, 2015.

Create a Jade App for iPad/Tablet users
Hi, I've searched the App Store on the iPad and cannot locate an app for Jade. We have a couple of iPads that we lend out to our lawyers and an easy to recognise Jade app would be great to have on the front screen of the iPad.
5 votesHi Susan, we are working on this. Thanks for giving us the prod.

User-highlighting
Allow for user-highlighting of cases within the Jade interface, so that the cases can be exported and/or printed already highlighted.

Create a new alert category for class actions / representative proceedings
I'd like to set up alerts for class actions/representative proceedings.

Stop character entry 'cursor' moving in search bar
After loading up jade.io and beginning searching, part way through entering a string, characters are entered at the beginning of the search bar, before reverting to the end of the search bar.
For example, typing 'the quick brown fox jumps', comes out in the search bar as 'rowthe quick bn fox jumps'4 votes -
Tool so that users can see if they have viewed Jade content
My suggestion is that you establish a way in which users can tell whether they have read a case (for instance, by changing the colour of the heading). This tool is currently operative on Caselaw.

Add metadata to your pages to allow e.g. Zotero to recognise souce
Jade suffers a defect that e.g. Austlii does not suffer from, which is that your pages currently do not contain metatags of their content that allows programs like e.g. Zotero to recognise sources properly.
This makes Jade quite clumsy and inefficient for legal researchers who use citation programs like Zotero or Endnote to compile and use sources.
It's very simple to implement, this page would offer your web developers some starting points: https://www.zotero.org/support/dev/exposing_metadata

Chrome Android - unable to tag highlighted segments unless using mouse
I regularly read cases on my Android phone. Selecting text does not bring up the tagging dialog, presumably because it requires a mouse hover action. Are you able to trigger the tagging dialog from normal text selection in chrome for Android? Cheers, Michael

offer discounted pricing for access to Jade Professional for verified Law Students.
I'm a Law Student and having access to Jade Professional would be great for my studies. The pricing is prohibitive for a full time student but offering a discount to verified students (student ID card or email perhaps) would really help. Many Thanks for listening.
