H-Index for Barristers based on citations
Right now it can be difficult for solicitors to know who are more experienced or competent counsel when they are looking for someone to brief. It would be amazing to have an equivalent to an academic H-Index, and would be quite easily implemented (eg in each decision, the counsel's name is crawled and aggregated to a particular counsel's 'profile'. Counsel could register on jade and claim their profile and fill in details like a link to their bio etc. and can 'claim' decisions which are missed by the automatic function. Similar to eg google scholar or academia.edu.
The system could…

add WA Warden decisions to database
Dear Jade
I'm a professional subscriber from WA. The WA (mining) Warden decisions have recently been added to austlii (http://classic.austlii.edu.au/au/cases/wa/WAWM/) but only in pdf format.
It seems the Warden cases aren't in Jade databases (particularly the citation workings). If austlii or the WA agencies, had these available online in text, would that enable Jade to include in your databases?
Thanks for your great service.

Put the name of the case/item in the tab name for easy tab switching
Keep the Jade logo in the Tab but have the case name as the text so it's easier to switch between tabs/windows and keep a bunch of cases up at once

offer an obiter dictum identifier similar to that of your Citator tool.
Similar to that of the Citator tool, it would prove beneficial having a tool that could identifier obiter statements within a case.
30 votesWe are working on precisely this kind of identification. It’s a little harder than CaseTrace (our citator tool), but stay tuned. The first stage is ready and will be deployed in the week of 16 June 2015.

Hi Nicole,
That’s a great idea. We’re looking into ways to get older NSW decisions on JADE.

Consider better integration of user-generated content.
I assume that the team at Jade is familiar with CaseText (https://casetext.com/), a free US legal research site. CaseText's integration of user-generated content is quite seamless and user-friendly--perhaps in ways that Jade is not. Might be worth considering.
7 votesHi Alexander, we do integrate user-generated content. We are working to improve the integration in our next UI improvement round happening early in Q3, 2015.

Legislation has been 'appealed'
When I look up the Supreme Court (General Civil Procedure) Rules 2005 (Vic) it says it has been appealed.

Table of contents failure
The table of contents is a real time saver.
Here is an example of where it fails, though:
https://jade.barnet.com.au/Jade.html#article=67936PFENNIG v THE QUEEN (1995) 182 CLR 461.
Nothing gets listed in the TOC.
